Bucólica por Gocho Versolari

Hay mieses que maduran en el aire
que saltan, chispean, anochecen
mientras danzas desnuda
en los recodos del viento y por momentos
te encarnas en el fino polvo
que engendra el sol.

Hay mieses que maduran en tu pecho
y por las noches
mi pequeño cuarto está repleto
de agrícolas luces que forjan melopeas;
tu piel está madura para la cosecha
y el resplandor de la ventana
es tierno pan

Preparemos la siega.
Bailemos entre surcos y mazorcas;
seamos los frutos
y a la vez
el segador.

Cuando llegue el crepúsculo
llenaremos pechos y graneros;
entonces,
en plena medianoche,

explotará la luz.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

BUCOLICo

There are crops that ripen in the air,
that leap, spark, and turn to night
while you dance naked
in the bends of the wind, and at times
you become the fine dust
that the sun creates.

There are crops that ripen in your chest,

and at night
my small room is filled
with agricultural lights that forge melodies;
your skin is ripe for the harvest,
and the glow from the window
is tender bread.

Let us prepare for the harvest.
Let us dance among furrows and corn;
let us be the fruits
and at the same time
the reaper.

When dusk arrives,
we will fill breasts and barns;
then,
in the depth of midnight,
the light will explode.
