Pasó a formar parte, Malala Yosafzai de aquellos nombres que se atrevieron a hablar cuando se les imponía el silencio. Fue esta pequeña y frágil niña la que desafió la violencia de los talibanes junto a la que parecía ser, la indiferencia del mundo. Sí hablamos de Pakistán y del siglo XXI. ¿Qué esta ocurriendo en este planeta Tierra para que ella tenga que venir a mostrarnos lo que no es…?
Silencios que nacen del miedo al silencio y que necesitan ser rotos para que despierten las conciencias.
Ella nació en un lugar de una gran belleza aunque lleno de enormes contradicciones dónde se pierde la tradición a la misma velocidad que los sueños. Malala aprendió que la palabra es un arma poderosa desde muy chiquita, por qué su padre que era maestro se ocupó y preocupó de ello.
Su convicción la llevo a ser perseguida y su sentencia fue la muerte, de la que consiguió escapar y algunos dicen que resucitar. Una bala que la dio más vida aún y la llevó ante la ONU donde dijo «Un niño, un profesor, un libro y una pluma pueden cambiar el mundo». Una gran verdad lo que dejo allí sembrado. Una verdad a gritos que aún hoy día sigue siendo verdad, un privilegio negado a millones de niñas, el acceso a la educación.
Ella quiso acompañar a todos cuantos la silenciaron, a cada niña que debía caminar muchos kilómetros para llegar a la escuela o que sueña con escribir su nombre en su cuerdo, ella dejó claro que es una forma de libertad.
Es importante no perder de vista a esta muchacha ya que nos recuerda la palabra es poder, un manifiesto, una llamada de atención hacia aquello que es una injusticia y un castigo, el silencio impuesto al que siempre hay que decir NO con el mismo coraje que ella lo hizo.
Malala creo una fundación y desde ella es una activista comprometida no solo desde las redes, visita numerosos lugares que colaboran internacionalmente con el desarrollo de la educación para las niñas y asiste a conferencias diversas.
Una labor compleja que no deja en el vacío aquello que se atrevió a hacer un día…

Malala Yousafzai became one of those names that dared to speak when silence was imposed upon them.
It was this small and fragile girl who defied the violence of the Taliban —and, it seemed, the indifference of the world as well.
Yes, we are speaking of Pakistan, and of the twenty-first century.
What is happening on this planet Earth that she had to come and show us what should never have been?
Silences are born from fear —fear of silence itself— and they must be broken so that consciences may awaken.
She was born in a place of great beauty, yet filled with contradictions, where tradition is lost as quickly as dreams.
From a very young age, Malala learned that words are a powerful weapon, because her father, a teacher, made sure she understood it and lived by it.
Her conviction led her to be persecuted, and her sentence was death —a death from which she escaped, and, some say, was reborn.
A bullet that gave her even more life, and brought her before the United Nations, where she declared:
“One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world.”
What she planted there was a great truth —a truth that still cries out today: that access to education, a basic right, remains a privilege denied to millions of girls.
She chose to stand beside all those who had tried to silence her —beside every girl who must walk miles to reach a classroom, or who dreams of writing her name in a notebook.
She made it clear that education is a form of freedom.
It is important not to lose sight of this young woman, for she reminds us that words are power —a manifesto, a call to attention against injustice and punishment— the imposed silence to which we must always say No, with the same courage she did.
Malala founded an organization, and through it she continues her work as a committed activist.
Not only through social networks, but by visiting countless places that collaborate internationally to promote girls’ education, and by participating in conferences around the world.
A complex and tireless labor that ensures nothing is left empty of meaning —that the courage she once found continues to bear fruit.
